1st Stefan Donkov Memorial
The Philidor Massy chess club, with the support of the city of Massy, is organizing its first international rapid open on Sunday June 9, 2024.
Good playing conditions garanteed at l'Espace Liberté with its two playing areas. The room is located in the old center of Massy near the RER B: less than 10 minutes walk from Massy-Verrières.

- Tournament in 9 rounds at Fischer cadence 12' + 3'' / move.
- Official FIDE tournament, Swiss system.
- Arbitration:
- Alfredo LORENZO, international arbiter
- Trainee arbiter(s) TBA
- FIDE identifier required (read it on ratings.fide.com).
- Check in between 9 am and 9.40 am.
- The official tournament regulation will be posted in the playing room.
Schedule
45 minutes per round on June 9, 2024.
- Round 1 at 10 am
- Round 2 at 10.45 am
- Round 3 at 11.30 am
- Round 4 at 12.15 am
- Lunch break between 1 pm and 2 pm
- Round 5 at 2 pm
- Round 6 at 2.45 pm
- Round 7 at 3.30 pm
- Round 8 at 4.15 pm
- Round 9 at 5 pm
The prize giving to the winners on site will take place on Sunday June 9, 2024 at 6 p.m.
Prices
At least 80% of the registration amount donated if at least 80 registrants (adjustment at best otherwise).
- Prices in the general ranking: rewards for the first 3.
- Prices by categories: prices by Elo bands of the same size.
- Prices details will be posted after round 3.
Prices are not cumulative.
Registration
Open until June 8, 2024 included within the limit of the 120 available places.
Fee: €15 adult / €10 young (less than 20 years old on January 1, 2024).
